Block System
Blocks are the universal unit in Mead. Everything addressable is a block.
This page shows how each block type looks and behaves.
Anatomy
Every block has: content (primary), a toolbar when selected (secondary),
and an optional settings panel (tertiary). Click a block to show its toolbar.

Original authored text.
A block adapts to its content. This one holds prose — flowing, readable, annotatable.
Highlight
Excerpt from a text or PDF media asset.
Excerpt from a longer text or PDF. The highlight block stores the excerpt and a reference to the source.
Clip
Time-range excerpt from video or audio.

Region
Spatial region of an image.
Image region (normalized 0–1). Optional note.
Annotation
Comment attached to a span of another block.
Comment attached to a span of another block. Links are first-class.
Quote
Transclusion or reference to another block.
Live transclusion of another block. Snapshot stored for drift detection.
Canvas ref
A sub-canvas embedded as a block.
